Alex and I picked up a bubble machine at Walmart on Monday. We took it to a play date at my friend Laura's house yesterday. The bubbles were gorgeous in the sun!!! I think Laura and I had more fun with it (taking pictures) than the kids did. :)
Not the best picture I took today but I like the story behind it.
Nicholas and I went back into our neighbor's woods and got the beetles some dirt and bark, since I guess they like those things. As soon as Nick put the beetles back in the box, the male (at least we think it is a male) tunneled himself straight down into the dirt. He hasn't come back up yet. The female (again, we think) has been hanging out on top of the bark, chewing away. Aaaahhh, happy at last. :)
Baby Christie loved the balloons at her big sister Jordan's birthday party today. She also loved my camera, which is why she's reaching for it. (Notice her reflection in the balloon? Cool, huh? I meant to do that.) :).
1. Doug took this picture, not me. 2. He took it today (May 3).
I didn't take any pictures yesterday because it was rainy and crappy most of the day. I don't feel too inspired on rainy days.
Anyway, this picture was Doug's view of Keira and Nick this afternoon on the community trail they went riding on. They rode about 7.5 miles total. Doug said Nick has a hard time keeping his bike on the trail. Funny!
Since the weather was warm enough, the kids were going to have a water balloon battle, but we could only manage to get one balloon filled (the nozzle would not fit on our hose). So they opted for the sprinkler instead. They figured out that they could squirt each other with the little nozzles, so that is how they spent most of their time. Too funny!
