As of July 1 I began posting my daily photos over at my main blog, A Fresh Perspective.
I found the need to eliminate one blog, and since this one came second, this is the one.
I hope you will choose to join me over at A Fresh Perspective for daily photos, photo challenges,
and some other fun stuff thrown in.

This is totally not the photo I had envisioned to post today.  I bought the family the "No Stress Chess" game for Christmas so Doug could teach the kids how to play chess.  He knows how and they don't.  Neither do I, actually.
Anyway, watching them play yesterday gave me the idea to photograph the pieces today.  While I was doing so, Alex came upstairs to show me the blackberry seed he was able to save after eating a blackberry.  (See it there - right by the knight [horse] piece?  Yeah, I didn't notice it until I was editing.  :))  He wants to plant it.  Anywho ...
So he starts knocking down all the pieces and picked up this black pawn to continue his barrage.  I captured his cute little hand just before he destroyed the rest of the pieces.  Of the two dozen or so photos I took of the chess pieces, this is my absolute favorite.  To see the one I had envisioned, that turned out pretty cool too, go to my Flickr page.

I love this! All my boys play chess. I stink at it though. They can all beat me.

I really, really like this a lot! So unique. I'd say you've captured a 'checkmate' of photos for the week.

All my girls love playing chess. Their grandfather has thought them how.
I like it too, but I really hate to loose...
