As of July 1 I began posting my daily photos over at my main blog, A Fresh Perspective.
I found the need to eliminate one blog, and since this one came second, this is the one.
I hope you will choose to join me over at A Fresh Perspective for daily photos, photo challenges,
and some other fun stuff thrown in.

After church the kids and I took a walk behind the church where there is a whole field of milkweed to look for Monarch caterpillars.  We didn't find any more caterpillars today, but we did come across this sweet, little butterfly on the milkweed flowers.

Week 23 Summary

Week-23-Collage
Another week gone!  Not much to say this week.  The kids are done with school and when they aren't playing nicely with each other, they are trying to kill each other.  I can feel my hair turning gray as I type this.  What hair I have left, that is.  :)  But, hey, only about 75 more days until school starts again, right?

Nick caught this butterfly this afternoon.  He was so excited and asked me to take a picture of it.  It is an Eastern Tiger Swallowtail male.  We kept him for 5 minutes or so in our butterfly house so we could observe him and then set him free.

On a somewhat unrelated note ... we took the kids fishing this evening at a different lake than normal.  I brought my camera all excited to have a different atmosphere to photograph only to discover that I left my battery at home in the charger.  And wouldn't you know it, there were several cool things I could have taken pictures of.  I really must buy another battery.  :)

The first butterfly capture of the year.  She was pretty content to stay way up on the top of the lilac bush in order to prevent me from getting a better photo.  :)
